The American Association of Professional Baseball is a professional baseball Partner League of MLB, founded in 2005. As a Partner League, the American Association collaborates with MLB on initiatives to provide organized baseball to communities throughout the United States and Canada.

The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. The 2020 season will mark the 27th season of the Northwoods League. It is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 22 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 185 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS), two-time World Series Champion Ben Zobrist (CHC) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (BOS), Jordan Zimmermann (DET) and Curtis Granderson (TOR).
