CAREER: Currently resides in Latrobe, PA. Made his MLB Debut in 2018. Was on the International League roster for the 2019 season, which was his fifth and final season in Triple-A. Upon graduation from the Wendelstedt Umpire School, Visconti umpired in the Gulf Coast (2010), New York-Penn ('10), Florida Instructional ('10), South Atlantic ('11), Carolina ('12), Arizona Instructional ('12-'13), and Eastern ('13-'14) leagues. Also instructs at Wendelstedt Umpire School. He worked the 2017 and 2018 Arizona Fall League, as well as the 2017 AFL Rising Stars Game, in addition to umpiring the 2017 IL postseason. Additionally worked his first MLB Spring Training in 2017. Visconti also served as 1B Umpire during the 2014 MiLB All-Star Futures Game at Target Field. Added to the MLB Staff full time in 2020.

Erich has worked the Arizona League (2012), New York Penn League and NYPL Championship Series (2013), South Atlantic League/ Carolina League and Colombian Winter League (2014), Carolina League and Carolina Championship League Series (2015), Eastern League (2016, 2017), MLB Futures Game and Eastern League Championship Series. Worked his first season in Triple-A in the International League, and worked winter ball in the Dominican Winter League (2018). Erich’s knowledge of the 3 umpire system and vast knowledge of advanced 3 umpire mechanics and baseball rules will be a major asset to our umpires. Selected to work Major League Spring Training for the first time in 2020.

Graduate of the Wendelstedt Umpire School. Jeff worked 10 seasons of Minor League Baseball reaching AAA, including the Liga Venezolana de Béisbol Profesional. He currently works on the SEC and ACC Conference Staff. Has also worked the College World Series 3 times (2011, 2014, 2017), and works in the Independent Professional American Association. Will be joining the UPC Staff as a new addition for the 2020 session. His knowledge of the 3-umpire system and experience in MiLB will assist students during their time at UPC.

Graduated from the Wendelstedt Umpire School in 2013 and 2015. Darius worked two seasons of independent league baseball in the American Association (2013, 2014) before being hired by MiLB. After being hired he has worked the Arizona League (2015), Northwest League (2016), Midwest League (2017), California League (2018), Texas League (2019). Darius is also on staff at Wendelstedt Umpire School.

A 2016 graduate of the Umpire Training Academy, Brown recently completed his third year as a Minor League Baseball umpire. Matt's experience gives students insight on what it takes to become a professional umpire. Currently is on staff for his fourth year as an instructor at the MiLB Umpire Academy, where he has taught since 2016. Matt has umpired in Florida Extended Spring Training, Appalachian, Florida Instructional and South Atlantic League, and Carolina League. His work earned him the opportunity to umpire the Appalachian and South Atlantic League Championship Series, and South Atlantic League All Star Game, as well as the Carolina League Championship Series. In addition to his professional umpire experience, Matt attended the University of South Carolina, studying exercise science. Matt is a native of Conway, SC, where he currently resides.

Graduated from the Wendelstedt Umpire School in 2018. Also is on staff as an instructor at Wendelstedt Umpire School. Ben has worked the Arizona League (2018) and the New York - Penn League (2018), South Atlantic League (2019). After his first season in Minor League Baseball, Ben was selected to work the Instructional League in Fort Myers, FL. Ben has instructed at multiple umpire clinics around the country including the Mid-American Clinic in Springfield, MO and the PSOA Clinic in Omaha, NE. Ben graduated with an Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Business Administration through Northwest Missouri State University. In the off-season he works as a High School Substitute Teacher in West Des Moines, IA. Through Ben's experience and passion for umpiring, students will not only leave with a heightened ability to umpire but also a renewed passion for umpiring.

A 2018 graduate of the MiLB Umpire Training Academy, Bryan just completed his first year as an MiLB umpire. He worked the Gulf Coast League, and the Northwest League in 2018, as well as the South Atlantic League in 2019. Van Vranken's experience and knowledge about mechanics and rules will allow him to assist students in furthering their own careers. He has been a resident of Sarasota, Florida his whole life. He earlier attended University of Texas of the Permian Basin where he played baseball and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.

A 2019 graduate of the MiLB Umpire Training Academy, Jacob just completed his first year as an MiLB umpire. He worked in the Gulf Coast League during the 2019 season. Jacob previously worked in the American Association (2018). He graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a Bachelor's and Masters degrees in Accounting. In the off-season he works accounting projects and officiates high school football and basketball. Jacob currently lives in Gainesville, GA.
